History

No. 8105 is a New Look bus from General Motors, a company that manufactured in both the United States and Canada. It is a T6H-4523N model. Although the bus did not have air conditioning, it featured the large angled windshields that are commonly referred to as “Fishbowl”. No. 8105, along with 14 other new buses took over service from the Hudson Bus Lines in 1981. The fleet was eventually withdrawn and replaced by new buses in 1992 and 1994. This bus ran on the Lewiston-Auburn Citylink system, managed by the Lewiston-Auburn Transit Committee (LATC) and established in 1976. In 2011, the LATC put into service three 35’ low-floor bright purple Citylink transit buses funded entirely by the American Reinvestment Recovery Act Funds. Museum Ownership: No. 8105 was sold to a fan who planned on using it as a source of parts for a similar bus, but Seashore was able to supply the needed parts in exchange for No. 8105. The bus came to Seashore in 2006. The museum put No. 8105 into working condition, and it was used for transporting guests around the Seashore.
